Head Coach Opening - UC Berkeley Men's Lacrosse

The University of California, Berkeley (Cal) is accepting applications for the position of Head Coach of the Men's Lacrosse Club. Responsibilities include organizing and administering all phases of a MCLA Division I (WCLL region) program including: recruiting student athletes; training and preparing student athletes for competition; monitoring and supporting the academic success of student-athletes; recruiting, supervising and evaluating lacrosse staff; general administrative duties; engaging in public relations, fundraising, and promotional activities; and performing other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will possess a positive inspiring attitude and will be expected to steward the program through a growth phase with improved competitive success and advancement as the core goals.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with at least 2-3 years successful coaching experience (preferred at the collegiate level), strong interpersonal skills and understanding of human behavior, demonstrated knowledge of current coaching techniques, commitment to the academic success of players, excellent organizational and administrative skills, success in recruiting student-athletes to a lacrosse program. Background check is required.

Salary: Compensation: $40,000-55,000 (dependent on experience) + full benefits. This is a one year full- time contract role eligible for annual renewal.
