The UC Davis Women’s Club Lacrosse Team is currently looking for a head coach for our “B” team. Our Western Women's Lacrosse Division II team consists of approximately 20 student athletes dedicated to, as declared in our mission statement, “playing excellent lacrosse at the club level while maintaining a positive and fun atmosphere for all members.” During the 2008-2009 season, the “B” Team had a very successful first “provisional” year, finishing 7th and 2nd overall. We are competing as a full league member for the 2009-2010 season.
We are looking for an applicant with experience as a player and/or as a coach and is located in the Davis/Sacramento area. Applicants must be prepared to lead, instill discipline, and engage players of all skill levels in all field positions, while still fostering a competitive atmosphere. Additionally, it is the responsibility of the head coach to develop game strategy for the team to implement, plan practices to build upon fundamental skills, and have the ability to communicate effectively with both players on the team and administration within the league. Salary is negotiable depending on level of experience.
Time Requirements are as follows:
· January to April: (Possibly extending to May depending on our post season course) Practices will be four to five times per week with weekend games. Games are mostly concentrated in Davis but we will be traveling a few weekends.
