College Prep Lax has announced three player showcases for the summer of 2011. In conjunction with three MCLA (Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association) conferences Showcases will be held in the following cities; San Jose (WCLL), California June 24-26, Denver (RMLC), CO, July 15-17 and Seattle (PNCLL), July 29-31. The Showcases will give high school lacrosse players exposure to MCLA coaches and help the players find a program that fits their academic and college lacrosse aspirations.

College Prep Lacrosse’s Mission statement is:

CPLax Inc is dedicated to helping High School Student-Athletes connect with college programs across the nation. With special focus on the nations, new “Hot Beds” the CPLax Showcases connect prospective students with top MCLA athletic programs at many of the finest educational institutions in the nation.
In accordance with this mission, the Showcases are two and a half day lacrosse event for high school boys seeking recruiting connections with the collegiate programs participating in the MCLA. Participating players get instruction, scrimmage experience and game experience under supervision of current collegiate players and coaches who represent MCLA programs from one of the ten MCLA conferences. In addition, counseling and instruction in the methods of “getting recruited” are provided by NCSA one of the leading student-athlete mentioning organizations in the nation.
Mason Goodhand is the founder of College Prep Lacrosse, Inc. Coach Goodhand has been teaching and coaching for three decades, using the sport of lacrosse to help young people pursue goals and learn life lessons along the way. Coach Goodhand says about the showcases:

The objective of these Showcase events is to help each player get a connection with one or more colleges lined up for the future. Simultaneously we will assist MCLA coaches who seldom have time or opportunity to recruit the ability to see players who will help their programs. We hope our events are a safe and fun way to start early, plan well and get to work on achieving your greatest potential in THE GAME!
