Folding practice goals

Folding practice goals

Hey, just a quick note of props to Jamie for the folding practice goals he invented this year...

We bought 2 of them and have used them - broken down & put up & then put back in a storage shed, used them - 3x a week for 2 months now and they're everything we hoped for! We'd been using Rage Cages to fit in the shed for the last couple years, which are so flimsy & rickety that we ended up holding down the corners with sandbags and splinting the top bar with spare goalie handles (from when we put regular handles on goalie sticks for the little guys).

One thing we've learned is to flip them face down (square opening on the turf) for deployment & break down. Its much easier to manipulate the rear triangle and fit or remove the pins if all you're holding up is the 2 triangle pipes. And to move from field to field, they bungee just fine on the diagonal onto any car with Thules or Yakimas. Great for getting parent volunteers to take care of them, even if they don't have an open pickup truck.

At the risk of looking like a kiss-up to the host here... 2 big thumbs up.

Well, thanks. Not sure if I "invented" anything, but I did design the goal. Kiss up. :D
