Lax power reports it was DLS 7-5 over Amador. Congrats to the Spartans They came prepared as they have all the second half of the season. I suggested after their first win over MV and their close loss to SI by that same 7-5 they would go deep into tournament. Deep indeed and now they are Div 1 NCS champs for 2017. Hope someone will fill us in?

Yes Congrats to DLS. The story on the game was DLS jumped out to a 5-1 lead by halftime. The heat on the field was pretty bad, mid 90's the entire game. DLS goalie played really well. Face offs, saves, shots, etc were nearly even. AVHS didnt play well the first half with several turnovers early leading to DLS goals. At the table it was agreed by both team's representatives that all the GBs seemed to be going DLS's way.

Second half was a different story with AV tightening up their play and outscoring DLS 4-2 but unable to get over the first half hole the put themselves into. It was a pretty clean game with few penalties. The difference in this game was the turnovers on the AV side in the first half and an overall solid defensive effort by both sides in the second half. Other than the heat, it was a great game to watch, officiating was reasonable and didnt interfere with the outcome. So ends another season of LAX. See everyone next season!

La Costa Canyon beat Coranado 10-9 to win the San Diego Section championship last night . Like in the NCS semifinals the number 2 ranked team in the State and #1 in their section Torrey Pines was upset by 4 seed Coranado 6-4 Wednesday night in that Section's semifinals. A lot of upsets this week. Shows some parity up and down the State. SRV had defeated both Torrey Pines and Coranado but lost to La Costa Canyon in their spring trip to So Cal.
