D1

SRV 16 Redwood 6
MV 10 Jesuit 4
De La Salle 13 Oak Ridge 5
Granite Bay 7 Amador 9

D 2

Acalanes 12 Campo 9
MC 10 Petaluma 9
Piedmont 12 UHS 5
MA 12 Novato 7

In D1 Amador lost in OT at GB and think the home team is favored here. The other D1 games the top seed has a clear advantage. D2 games will be close they have played each other this year.

Not bad. I just got home from the Acalanes-Campo game and it was 13-6 Acalanes. Campo has a solid group of players, but there aren't enough of them.

SRV breezed to a 12-1 win over Redwood tonight in Danville. The Wolves led at the half 7-1. One half the third period and all of the fourth were played with reserves including 7 boys brought up from the JV.s for the playoffs who scored a couple goals. The Redwood goalie played well making 13 saves. Redwood just simply over matched. Amador in a fairly easy 10-7 win over Granite Bay . So the semifinals will be Amador at SRV in one game and no surprise De La Salle at Monte Vista in the other. SRV looks to be dominate this year but anyone can have an off night. MV will be favored having beaten DLS earlier but I think there could be a surprise in that one. SRV should make it to the finals. They are deep both on offense and defense. Can't see the Dons winning that one. Not sure why Amador hosted Granite Bay tonight as GB was a higher seed . Anyone know the answer to that?

Sac Teams can not host in NCS playoffs unless they play each other.

I am going to take acalanes to win it all in D2, and DLS to win it in D1. Any other overall predictions

I think Marin Academy will present some problems for Acalanes on Wednesday but I do believe Acalanes has what it takes to win D2. Their key strength is team depth...players at most positions who can make a difference. Goalie might be the only question mark and that is not due to lack of talent but rather experience.

I'm surprised by the nod toward De Le Salle for D1. I do agree that that have historically risen to the challenge but I think this is SRV's year. There is a tremendous amount of talent on that team and I sense they have a shared belief that they can get it done this year.

I just have a feeling about DLS this year. SRV is probably the favorite but the Spartans have some solid players and like you said they rise to the occasion. That was just my feeling on them. It's going to be exciting though.
