Well we are about 9 days away from selection Saturday for NCS. Below is my list of current qualified teams based on having an even record overall, even league record. Here is MaX PREPS PLAYOFF PREDICTION FOR DIV 1. NCS will announce the seeding's at noon today! Doesn't appear that 16 teams can even qualify this year. You have to have a winning record overall in your league or in your division ( div 1). or at least not a losing one.

Here is Max Preps div 2 analysis. I agree with Piedmont and Acalanes Think Marin Catholic is ranked way too low. They had a very tough schedule and had some quality wins. They could be a dark horse!

I've split this topic since it went off. Let's keep this to the NCS playoffs.

Being from Sonoma County, I was pretty happy to see 4 team from the newly formed NBL make to NCS. A big step for Sonoma County lacrosse. Petaluma is very good and respectable, not quite up to the East Bay teams but they made it to the second round. Last year about this time, I said that Petaluma and Casa were ready to compete in CIF and both had successful first seasons.

I've seen Petaluma play and they have some very talented players. If they were to upset Marin Catholic, it would be quite a win for their program and league.

After the first round it looks like every favorite won except Redwood beating Davis in double OT (9 seed vs 8 seed). So far it looks like the seeding committee has done a pretty good job but now it looks like more of the evenly matched teams will start playing each other. In D1, can anyone upset SRV? They seem to be the team to beat. Their closest NCS game has been 6 goals. In D2, Acalanes looks to be the favorite but the gap seems to be a bit closer than D1. My 2 cents dark horse pick would be Marin Academy. They started the season with a very difficult schedule and ended the year on a pretty lengthy winning streak.

Rolax: I hope you didn't put any money behind that pick.

I really thought MA would put up more of a fight. You guys look to be rolling. Good luck tonight, my money is on Acalanes.
