This is a new feature for Boys JV teams. It'll take the same form as the NorCalLaxForum Varsity polls. Since we don't have a complete list of schools with JV teams, backdoor is using the Varsity list as pulled from LaxPower. Information about and statistics for JV teams are hard to come by. The NorCalLaxForum has more information about JV teams than any other media source in the nation - and page views for the JV section of the Forum reflect the high interest in this topic. Let's get the vote out in a big way for this poll, guys!

Thanks, backdoor!

I just voted!!!!! You'll need to be a registered on the Forum to vote. If you aren't, go to Site announcements and issues on the Board Index, click on Posting Required Registration and Admin Approval, and the second post will have a link to register. Then, backdoor has to approve you, meaning he deems you a real person rather than a bot or a phisher. Once approved, you'll be good to vote!

backdoor believes the JV poll closes tonight at midnight Eastern time = 9PM our time. Just a few hours until the polls close.

I had trouble voting yesterday in both polls, although I see 14 people didnt in JV and 15 in Varsity, so it must have been me.

Ouch! I was counting on your informed view. Would you please send backdoor a message describing your problem, 2LaxFeet? I'd sure like to have you voting.

I've seen 9 of the top 10 teams in the poll this season, some many times, all of them at least twice. The only one I haven't seen is Granite Bay and I've been communicating with their coach to get their scores. Of the top 10, I voted for all but Acalanes. I might have voted for them but I can't find their schedule and results anywhere. Do any of our JV mavens have a link to the Dons' JV lax website?

Gotta congratulate the JV voters. You guys are an exceptionally knowledgeable group!

Billax,
You have a great advantage over most (perhaps all) of us. I confess, I have seen only 4 of the top 10 play, so how can I really vote? Then again, if it were a requirement to have seen all of them play, or even half, how many people could vote?

Given that you have seen so many, I would be interested in knowing your actual ballot. If you don't mind, please post it and let us all see it.

I'd be happy to do that at the end of the season, NorCalDad, but I don't think my decision criteria or powers of observation are any different or any better than others who post on the JV thread. I'm just a lax junkie with too much time on my hands, so I see more games than most folks.

Matter of fact, when I read the game write-ups by posters on the JV thread, I'm often impressed with the insights that are posted here and, frankly, a little envious of the way many posters can make a game come alive with their prose.
