Don't se much chatter about this game. Is anyone going and posting updates on this forum? I might try and sneak over there if I can but wouldn't be able to post anything here.

More details later this weekend, but excellent atmosphere for a key Northern California rivalry matchup. San Ramon won the last three meetings and owned the home field advantage for this evening's main event.
From the beginning it was evident that SI was ready and motivated along with bringing a squad that looked to be about 35 people strong. San Ramon looked well prepared and energized by the earlier JV winning effort against SI.
From the first faceoff going forward, SI was dominant. Controlling the faceoff, transition and good shot selection, SI was dominating. Of course this being an SI vs SRV game, the unreal occurred a few times such that SI may have dominated but they were only up by 1 at half.

The second half began like the first half with SI controlling the tempo and it started and ended with SI's defensive unit which was very effective in controlling SRV's powerful trio. You can't totally shut them down, for Worstell, Weiss and Tags each had two goals. However, for most of the game, the SI defense doubled, effective slides and outright outhustled SRV.

This game could have had a greater goal differential in not for the play of SRV's goalie Cameron Bowlby. He stopped at least 7 point blank shots which had he been only playing an average game, the score would have been closer to 20. He put on quite a show. On the other end, Cyrus Scott put on a similar show stopping several great shots and quickly starting the transition.

Large crowd came out for the event and was evenly split between SI and SRV...awesome night of lacrosse. Best game of the year so far and probably the most level and consistent effort by SI in several years. Stats to follow later on this weekend.
