Foothill - 17, Northgate - 2 -- Final

Northgate Broncos -- #13 seed -- 10-9 record (3-3 league record; tied for second in DVAL) -- PR of 83.91 -- ranked 27th in NC/San Joaquin sections by Laxpower -- strength of schedule # 42 -- beat Granada, and split with Dublin and Berean Christian; lost to Sonoma Academy, Livermore, lost 2X to Clayton Valley and Cardinal Newman.

Foothill Falcons -- # 4 seed -- 12-8 record (10-4 league record; 4th in EBAL) -- PR of 96.66 -- ranked #4 in NC/San Joaquin sections by Laxpower -- strength of schedule # 4 -- beat Mountain View, beat Granada, Livermore, Cal High, and arch rival Amador Valley 2X each; split with San Ramon Valley and Monte Vista; lost to Bellarmine, St. Ignatius, De la Salle (2X), Rancho Bernardo (SoCal), and Lincoln (Oregon).
A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.

I've seen Foothill play this year several times but have not seen Northgate. Their only common opponents were Livermore and Granada. Northgate beat Granada by 1 in a relatively high scoring game, but lost to Livermore by 5. Foothill beat Granada twice this year by 13 or more and Livermore twice by 9 or more. Foothill has lots of offensive firepower and solid goalkeeping that will likely overwhelm Northgate. I see Foothill winning this one by 8 or more goals.
What if the hokey-pokey IS what its all about?

As a Northgate follower, can't agree more with Numbersman. NHS hasn't beaten anyone ranked higher than them and has lost to several teams below them on the charts. They've been very inconsistent this year and are unaccustomed to playing teams of Foothill's caliber. They'll played their hearts out but will be overwhelmed.

Not that it matters, but I think it was actually 18-2. Starters gone at half when it was 14-0.
