From Westsidelax.com:

The Gaels finished their three-game Southern California swing Saturday afternoon with a resounding 17-6 victory over No. 14 Rancho Bernardo in a game that was not as close as the final score indicated.

Ouch! In fact the ten goal mercy rule applied for most of the game after the mid-point of the second quarter.

navlax - would you mind posting every so often the marquee match ups of the weeks. Big games with LCC 'Nado, TP, RB, Poway involved.... and of course we would be interested in any more intersectional games with out of state competition.

Gladly. Just returned from the Coronado-Bishop's game. Islanders record their first win of the 2006 season with a dominant 10 - 5 victory over the Knights. Bishop's opened the scoring, but too many penalties by the Knights, poor clearing, and turnovers gave Coronado the chances to separate from them starting in the second quarter.

Did St. Margaret's drop another one? To Foohill? After Tartan had a bird's eye at the MSJ game? What happened?

OC?

Postby navlax76 » Sun Apr 02, 2006 10:53 am

Arguably the section doesn't have the depth yet, but if Foothill takes their game against Coronado, it puts the exclamation point on a serious statement about OC lacrosse. Will it be soon that the SD-CIF and NorCal are debating about who is the second best region in the state?

Coronado 11, Foothill (OC) 4

Game not nearly as close as score might indicate. At half, Coronado 8, Foothill 0.

Very interesting year in CA H.S. lacrosse.

navlax76,

Are you taking in the Garden City/Torrey Pines game today?

By the way, I’ve kept warm in this rainy weather up here in that Navy sweatshirt. TKX again.

SCOUTING

Postby navlax76 » Tue Apr 18, 2006 2:25 pm

Grizz,

I'm there on a scouting mission. My intel from "Lawn Guylint" says that the Trojans are stacked this year. Glad you and your favorite H.S. player like the gear. This weekend is the chance for the Mids to end their drought against the Blue Jays. To put it into prespective, I was on the field with the last Navy team to defeat Hopkins. While I'm certainly a young guy by my own standards, some would say that 31 years is long enough for any streak.

I've heard from a reliable source that this may be one of GC’s strongest teams. It may be a little different than their last trip out. Please keep us posted.
