Geoff Worley gets points against Duke and UVA

Postby Billax » Wed Feb 27, 2008 8:18 am

Geoff Worley, the former star attack for the Coronado Islanders, now plays for the DI University of Vermont Catamounts. The Catamounts began their season against two of the nation's top teams - Duke and UVA. While both teams handily defeated UVM, Geoff performed well in both games. He scored the first goal of the season for the Catamounts against Duke and had UVM's only assist in their game against Virginia. Nice going, Geoff!

Billax,

Thanks for the post on young Geoff. Seems like just yesterday that we first put a stick in his hands at a winter clinic. Max Gradinger is also seeing a lot of PT as a LSM for Coach Curtis. Max is a Torrey Pines graduate whose elder brother is a starting D for Cornell. The youngest Gradinger brother is a seventh-grade attackman and the leading scorer for the RC STARZ. Good lax genes in that family.

Coach Curtis is a former H.S. teammate of Alex Cade, of Adrenaline Lacrosse and the head coach at Coronado H.S. A good connection that along with the on-field success of these Californians can only help increase NCAA recruiting interest in CA for the near future.

Warm regards,
