Coaching Opportunities

Postby L35s » Mon Apr 25, 2011 11:00 am

I was wondering what the best resource is for finding out about open coaching positions in NorCal. I checked out the "coaching" section of the forums, but there hasn't been a post in a while (presumably because everyone is in-season). Are the HS and college jobs that open up usually posted in that section, or is there another place to look? Thanks in advance for any help.

The Northern California Lacrosse Foundation has a coaching link. Here's the home page:

You can look at the Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association, where there's a link to every club in Northern California. Here's the NCJLA link:

The NCJLA web site has a FAQ page that links you to coaching clinics through the US Lacrosse site: ... inics.aspx

That should get you started.

And you could do a lot worse than jumping into the Skyline Lacrosse Club -- it's full of great folks -- I have absolutely no association with that club, so I have no vested interest. But if you poke around those sites you should get an idea who to talk to, and you ought to be able to find a program near where you live. The sport's dying for coaches -- we have way, way more players than we have coaches to coach them.

Welcome to NorCal Lacrosse, L35s. Good luck on finding a coaching gig.
A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.
