To learn Lacrosse Defense

Postby Chris Topez » Thu Dec 31, 2009 5:35 am

1. Great defense is crucial to a championship effort in any sport, and this is especially true in lacrosse.
2. Know what kind of defensive set your team is in. Should a goalie and 6 defenders not be playing the same system problems are going to show up in the form of goals.
3. Realize who's hot and who's not in your slide package.
4. Individual defense. When the man you're defending has the ball or is about to receive a pass, and assuming he's in a place on the field where he should be pressured, you should be in a good athletic position within a stick's length.
