Subject: Steve Dini resignation

January 11, 2010

To All NCJLA Club Presidents, Boy’s and Girls Representatives,

Over the weekend I received a letter of resignation from Steve Dini, the NCJLA’s Executive Director. Steve indicated his decision was made based on personal reasons and the time demands of the position.

After meeting and discussing the situation with other members of the NCJLA board of directors, the decision is to delay the search for a permanent new ED until later in the spring. This will enable us to give full attention to the coming season. You may however spread the word to anyone you may know who might be interested, that we will be starting a search later in the spring.

We are most fortunate that Blake Abbata and Kristine Wollum, Boy’s and Girls Directors are on board and the NCJLA will be able to continue with the plans for the new season without missing a beat. Blake and Kristine will report to me as the NCJLA President for the immediate future. Don Aiello, Rus Sherman and Tony Grzejka are available to support Blake and Kristine as needed. Now, as in the past, team and game related questions should be directed from the club to the Commissioner at the level of play involved. As necessary the Commissioners will forward questions or issues to Blake and Kristine. Questions or concerns not specifically involving these areas should be sent to me at and I will respond or direct them to the appropriate person for information or resolution.

In spite of this unexpected change, I still expect the NCJLA to have the best season yet. We will move forward with the great games for your / our wonderful youth and their families. I look forward to seeing you on a lacrosse field soon.

Best Regards

Betty Hartog

President - NCJLA
