SF DRAGONS - Name the Mascot Contest

SF DRAGONS - Name the Mascot Contest

Postby Flandog » Fri May 26, 2006 8:39 am

I am already upset at the new organization. They had a name the Dragon mascot contest and my boys submitted a bunch of picks and none of them even made honorable mention. WEAK. Don't they know who I am? I don't know how to put this ... but I'm kind of a big deal ... I mean, people know me. My apartment smells of leather books and rich mahogony...

I'd like to see if any of you guys submitted any names:

Our's were:
1. Slider
2. Snowball
3. Fire-ball
4. Ivan Drago (of Rocky IV fame)
5. Flan-dog (I threw that one in there)
BIRTH - LACROSSE - DEATH

I think Flan-Dog was a humble and discreet submission, and can't believe it wasn't selected. :)

Given Kesar's proximity to the Haight, I thought that the mascot would have been:

Puff (the magic).

:D
When I make a great play it is because my opponent made me do so.

I walked up to the mascot and said "Hey FlanDog".

He looked at me like I was Sir Lancelot or something............

Next home game is July 1. I say everyone calls him FlanDog.

Great game today, SF beat NJ in overtime on a Casey Powell flyin' pushin' twistin' willin' the ball into the net solo power job.

I called the mascot Flandog several times. He just looked at me funny . . . .

That was Ryan Powell. He showed up big today................

I think the mascot made a rude gesture at me, but it was hard to tell!

Whichever Powell he was, he was fun to watch and saved the Dragons' bacon.
