Stealth Wins at Home!

Today's Stealth Game (4/6)

Postby picknroll » Sun Apr 06, 2008 7:28 pm

Lumberjacks 12
Stealth 10

Rugged penalty-marred game including a 5:00 high cross checking penalty against the Lumberjacks.

Jeff Zywicki had the highlight plays. First he lost the handle on a fast break pass, but followed the ground ball all the way to a shot and goal laying on the ground in front of the crease. Hard to describe but spetacular. He followed up a little later with an "Air Gait" move from behind the goal.

Ryan Powell had at least 3 goals for the Lumberjacks. Too bad he won't be back with the Dragons.

It was 11-10 Lumberjacks with 12 seconds. Colin Doyle got off a great shot diving into the crease that was saved. It could have gone to overtime if that one could have got in. The Lumberjacks got a garbage goal in the last seconds while the Stealth pulled their goalie off and played with 6 guys.

No rappers at halftime today. I'm sure LDM was disappointed.

Kind of a sloppy half-hearted effort.

Some great highlight goals by Z.

Lumberjacks goalie was pretty fast.........................

Nope. No rap this time. A pretty good J. Hendrix inspired National Anthem though! 8)

4/10

Postby laxin94526 » Thu Apr 10, 2008 9:42 am

The Stealth have 3 remaining games this season and they are all HOME games. This weekend game was originally scheduled for Friday 4/11 and was moved to Sunday 4/13. The last 2 games are Friday nights 4/18 & 4/25. The way I see the standings, if the Stealth win this Sunday, they are in the playoffs. If they win at least 2 of the next three, they would end up in second place and could be hosting a playoff game (vs. the 3rd seed). The final game of the season could have some serious playoff intensity against the Colorado Mammoth. See you at HP Pavilion.

4/25 game

Postby laxin94526 » Tue Apr 22, 2008 10:56 am

Just in case you missed it, the Stealth are offering FREE LACROSSE STICKS to the first 1,000 kids (15 and under) that enter the arena at this Friday nights game (4/25). The sticks are full size (40") aluminum shaft sticks made by Gait. They would be great for the beginner or intermidiate player. Also would be good for the fathers that want to learn to have a catch with the kids. This sounds like a golden opportunity for current lacrosse players to bring a friend to the 4/25 game that doesn't play lacrosse now. Maybe a baseball or soccer player that could receive a new stick to get him (or her) into the sport. Doors open at 6:30 and the sticks are first come, first served. Game starts at 7:30 against the Colorado Mammoth. See you on Friday at HP.

STEALTH FINISH FIRST. The Stealth defeated the Colorado Mammoth 10-6 on Saturday to finsih the regular season with the best record in the western division. As the #1 seed, they will host a first round playoff game on Sunday May 4th at 3:00. They will play the #4 seed (either Calgary or Portland). With a win next week, they could also host a second round playoff game the following weekend. Clear your schedules for 5/4/08 and come out and cheer on the Stealth. BTW, todays game will be rebroadcast on Sunday 4/27 at 3:00 or 3:30 on Comast cable channel 400.
