New MLL teams on the west coast

Postby socal » Thu Sep 15, 2005 2:08 pm

I think that the San Francisco Team should be a pretty good. Considering the TALENT that is up here and who would'nt want to play in Kezar in the FOG. Wow would'nt that be pretty cool name, The San Francisco Fog. What other names would you consider?

I do know tht we would pull in a bigger crowd than in LA. Chicago I dont know and Denver would do quite well. Look at how many show up to the Mammoth games.

I know that I'll be at the games when I'm NOT down in So Cal surfing...

What is the league average for the MLL in terms of salary? Do they get pain in gear?

MLL SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT

Postby Billax » Tue Dec 06, 2005 3:13 pm

The MLL held its Supplemental draft today and I spotted the following California players who were drafted by SF and LA teams:

Dragons
Jim Moss SJ Stealth M (hey, that's what it says)
Alex Cade Coronado HS Coach G
Drew Virk SJ Stealth FO
Riptide
Matt Ogelsby SJ Stealth M
Luke Gilbert SJ Stealth A

Congratulations to these California residents. Did anyone spot additional California draftees?

MLL DRAFT

Postby navlax76 » Tue Dec 06, 2005 4:03 pm

In Round Nine, Jon Fellows drafted by L.A. Jon was a two-time USILA All-American Attackman at DIII power Washington College. He was voted the 2002 NCAA DIII Attackman of the Year. A former Graduate Assistant Coach at his alma mater, Washington College, he's currently the Co-head Coach (Offense) for Coronado.

It's a puzzlement to see so many surnames of former teammates and opponents in this draft. Surely, it can't be their kids because I know I'm not THAT old. ("... and don't call me Shirley.")

Drew Virk, from SI, is the first Nor-Cal high school player to play both indoor and outdoor professional lacrosse. Congrats to Drew and I'm excited to see Jim moss playing in SF too.
