“It is an honor to name these fourteen young women to this year’s US Lacrosse All American team. They are an accomplished group whose dedication, hard work and perseverance have earned them the right to be called All American. Their accomplishments on the field are eclipsed only by how they honor the best spirit and traditions of the game off the field,” said Rus Sherman Nor-Cal All American Committee Chairman for US Lacrosse.
“Their talents on the field are being recognized on a national level with many of these players having commitments to Division I schools such as Boston College, Ohio State, Penn, Stanford, Cal, USC, SDSU and Oregon and are a testament to the growth of the game in Northern California. For those graduating Seniors we wish you the best of luck in the next phase of your lacrosse careers and for those of you returning players, we look forward to witnessing your continued growth here in Nor-Cal.”

Northern California is allowed to have 15 players on this list. That extra spot was to go to Jackie Gilbert for 1st team. The only issue was/is that Jackie received one too many yellow cards during the season. Coach said that his is trying to appeal that decision especially since one: 4 of the cards came from the same ref and two: two of those same cards were questioning calls by that same ref (so not via dangerous play)
